Manuel built his own storage and purification system and shared with his neighbours, but as conditions worsened it became impossible to keep up with the need. Habitat partnered with the municipality to install 92 water tanks to bring safer water to the community.

As well as the positive impact of volunteering on mental health, skills development and community benefit Habitat delivers free OCN-accredited training to provide a clear pathway to employment for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities including many considered “hard to reach’.
