I was aware of a few of the elements of fascism described in It Can’t Happen Here but the two that I think about the most are:

-Fascists usually are quite “nice” to you until they find a reason to not be
-The importance of reactionary youth that want to “become stronger” than previous generations

Alright. In the interests of opposing fascism I’m going to start posting more.

It might be dumb but in my situation and having read It Can’t Happen Here one thing I CAN do now is oppose what is happening. Both to mock and weaken the regime and to tell others they are not alone
