Insurance covered nothing from my eye visit because they called it a “routine checkup.” Pulsating rainbows aren’t routine. It wasn’t an emergency, but it could’ve been. What if it was a stroke and I stayed home because insurance wouldn’t cover it? This is how people die. The US is in trouble.

I had a somewhat scary experience today - I started seeing a rainbow in my vision. That can be dangerous - signs of a stroke, retinal detachment, not good stuff. They dilated my eyes and I look like Astro. 😂 The good news is the doctor thinks it was just an ocular migraine.

Salt and pepper pork belly over rice. Not bad if I do say so myself. Of course plenty of lessons learned, but for my first time, not too bad. #food

It’s been a year. I started my Master of Science degree journey in October of 2024. Time flies when you’re drowning in assignments? Petition submitted. My last courses end in January.

Wrapped up a pretty good week with some Korean BBQ. Finished a term for my MS program with A’s in both classes, I was accepted to speak at a conference, and a publisher seems initially interested in my book. I can’t say who or what just yet, but 👀. Still, I wouldn’t have minded a dinner buddy.

I took Korean cooking lessons. We made three different banchan recipes - Seasoned mung bean sprouts, soy braised potatoes (in the photo), and a soy chili tofu. 😋

I was looking at domains to buy, as you do, and I saw my provider offering Handshake domains - domains that are decentralized and managed with blockchain. Interesting TLDs available, like .c0m. Google's offering (https://buff.ly/3IqVFlH ) TLDs like .zip, now there's .c0m? What could go wrong? 🤷
