Honestly I think this is why people are fed up with the current governments for example in the UK Labour(democrats) and the Conservatives (republican) are plummeting in popularity due to them being too similar and pandering to each other to steal votes and not doing what the people need.

I saw several walk outs during the showing and everyone that made it to the end just had a look of confusion and disappointment as they left the screen.

Very sad to say this is likely to be my lowest rated film of 2025.

5/10 (mainly due to Jennifer Lawrence’s acting and the the cinematography)

Instead we do not really know what happened to grace or the other characters. I love artsy films and ones that tell stories that don’t get enough screen time but this one was just a frustrating test of endurance to see if you would get to the credit roll.

Instead we sat through 1hr58mins of slow paced and confusing scenes where you are questioning everything (I think this is the aim) and that would have been great had it been followed with a climax or some kind of explanation as to what was real/the mind.

I get that it is ment to show the world from the perspective of you loosing grip on reality but the execution of this did not hit for me.

I went in with the trailer leading me to believe maybe it was about mental health and the decline of a relationship with a showdown at the end.

It then cycles multiple times with very similar scenes just in different situations. It isn’t made clear whether what we are seeing is really or just her mind playing tricks on her and you are confused a lot of the time as to what the film is actually about.

What kept me sat was the expectation of a pay off at the end.

There wasn’t one.

We meet the main character Grace and before we have any chance to connect with her we are already in the decent into her losing her grip on reality and fighting with postpartum depression.

The cast was amazing.
The cinematography was beautiful.
The subject matter was important.

The execution was where the film dropped the ball for me. It was far too long and I found it both difficult to stay focused and found it painful in places to continue.
