Further upstream at Wolfsklamm. The sound is so loud you almost need to shout.

Biked downstream along the Inn river today. Mostly flat on bike lanes, with typical non-joining sections. Stopped for a hike at Wolfsklamm -- well worth the time...

Cycling some of the back roads out of Innsbruck is magical

Gravel biking out of Innsbruck. Map says 7% grade, but road is 14% up and 7% down. Great example of how averages don't tell you much about actual energy costs. But a beautiful day despite the steep grades.

The Wee-Chi-Tah bike trail trail is so dense you can't really see it unless you zoom in

More pics of climbing Powerline on Leadville Stage Race day 3. On day 1 we rode down this and it was terrifying. #bikesky

The daunting Powerline climb on the 3rd day of the Leadville Stage Race. Pitches of 15% to 20% on heavily rutted jeep road. I don't know how the pros climb this --- like all the other mortals I had a 2 mile walk. You're biking shoes need to be good hiking shoes for this ride #bikesky

Day 2 of Leadville Stage Race is done. Epic climb up to Columbine saddle at 12500 ft. Not a lot of O2 for us lowlanders. #bikesky

My first tech... AM only. It was a big deal that this was a newfangled "transistor radio".

Yeah, I'm that old.

Palo Duro Canyon. Great place for a spring bike ride

Spider Mountain. It's only a 350 ft climb to the top on gravel and rutted dirt over 0.6 miles. But it's got brutal 15-19% reaches on its 11% average. And a nice view;
