My version of getting back to the land is moving more off streamers and setting up a Navidrome server with FLAC rips of my entire CD collection, so it's vaguely appropriate that this is the first song in an artist and album alphabetical sort.

Making a best guess here. Wikipedia says this started running in the U.S. a year earlier than Noozles, Nickelodeon's other '80s koala-themed Japanese import, and clips of Belle and Sebastian aren't knocking any memories loose.

It was a sprint to the finish after taking a week off to watch Hysteria!, but Carpentober is officially in the books. Not a lot of surprises, but it was nice to finally fill in some of my more glaring omissions.

I’ve been to every Bumbershoot in the decade I’ve lived in Seattle and the revamped, smaller version of the last two years might be the best in that time. Give me a few names a certified old will recognize and I’ll spend the time between those sets wandering around, discovering new faves.

This is the third dockless car share service that’s tried and folded since I’ve lived here. Sucks that there’s apparently no way to make the economics work.

They were a lifesaver when I was moving and found out at the last minute that the city’s hazardous waste home pickup is for seniors only.
