The young woman had planned to spend a month with a friend in Los Angeles and then fly home to Berlin. But she’s been in federal custody since late January.

The mother cat of my WV cats passed away today from cancer. She was tiny and ferocious, chasing deer and bossing her kids. Sadness overwhelms me as I only knew you for the first half of your life, but I will carry you forever. I am so incredibly sad today. Life is not fair.
