Jerce was accused of being a gang member based on a Real Madrid-inspired tattoo and a "rock-and-roll" hand gesture he made on social media years ago.

For this, he was disappeared from the US and sent to one of the most infamous prisons in the world, where he endured "countless" beatings

One of the men @jessicaschulberg.bsky.social and I wrote about is Ysqueibel Yonaiquer Peñaloza Chirinos. He came into the U.S. legally, through the CBP One app. His family has worked tirelessly to secure his release from CECOT. Tonight, they got to hug him again. His mother Ydalys shares this video:
