Kasugai (Aichi Prefecture) city legislator Murakami Shinjirō referred to transgender legislator Kojima Sayuri as an "old dude" (ossan). She sued him for defamation. A Nagoya court ruled in her favor and ordered Murakami to pay out 170K yen ($1,170).
