I can't find the article (and it was in Bloomberg so it would be paywalled anyway), but he's not using ChatGPT. At least not the version the average user does. The Army has an Enterprise LLM designed specifically for the Army. Doesn't mean it's not scary, but it's lazy-ass reporting.

Why do you think he would care about the polls? He can't run again, and he'll be immune from any prosecution. Ostensibly Congressional Republicans should care, but ... I got nothing. Polls aren't going to move them.

That bit about the platforms not having to comply with global content moderation laws, they don't have to today. They'll just have to cease operating in those countries. Or they can have a US-only version that doesn't comply with those other laws/policies. But either way will cost them a lot.

I can actually appreciate her non-fiction (Philosophy, Who Needs It? and The Virtue of Selfishness). At least there she attempts to unfurl her philosophy in the real world. Her novels are sock puppets arguing kindergarten philosophy with each other in a bubble.

Doesn't matter. Everyone who's had one (welcome to the club!) knows it's no big deal. Everyone who hasn't yet had one is--and will remain--convinced it'll be a horror until they have one. And then they'll join the club.
