I'm thinking they tossed in a bunch of money for Trump's BALLroom.

Now might be a good time to investigate that area of my neighborhood where I hear cows mooing. Maybe the owner and I can cut a deal on beef.

I truly don't think Patel has any idea that he's drowning. He doesn't impress me as the self-reflective type.

It appears that ICE agents are gratified in some way by the cruelty they impose on individuals. Is this some type of new "high" that scientists are unaware of? How in the world did we get here?

I have no clue why they needed to fly Patel to Utah to be present at this press conference. He looked so befuddled and dazed, it was difficult to watch him. Most of the time, I could only see the whites of his eyes, except for when they were blinking like crazy.

I live in Texas, and my understanding is that initially, flooding wasn't even going to be on the agenda for that special session. According to several news sources, Republicans quickly added that item after the Democrats left the state. The initial session was all about gerrymandering.

I miss the days when Americans demanded that the politicians they elected followed rules and norms. Until now, sitting presidents didn't rely on attractive news media folks with coiffed hair and puffy lips and no journalistic credentials to make all their decisions.

It is disgusting, and a rather passive way of governing. I suppose if our LGBTQ folks all commit suicide, we can just pretend no one is gay. Seems like a lazy way to govern.

How can an entire White House be filled with so many individuals who are so childish and clueless about how things actually work? This all feels like the Middle School mentality of politics. I can't do this . . .

Nine bullets? That seems over the top.

I love this on a thousand different levels . . . thank you. It felt so good to smile.

We lived in NJ forty years ago and watched his casinos go bust all the time, as well as his other companies. When we moved to Texas, and after we had lived in the south for a good while, we were stunned at how much Texans admired his business practices (and many failures). I don't get it.

People will also ask themselves why ministers were not speaking out against an America which claimed to follow the teachings of Jesus but rounded up immigrants like cattle and shipped them back to countries which persecuted them.

We adopted donkeys who needed a home and have never regretted it. They bring much joy to us out here on the Kiser Ranch in Fairview, TX. Back when we adopted ours, Gibson Sanctuary wasn't around. Donkeys often get euthanized if someone does not adopt them.

Given all that's going on in today's world, what could possibly be more important that this? This explains a lot about why many of us yearn for scholarly journalists with inquisitive minds.

Texas has learned nothing from Covid. I personally know two women who died from Covid, insisting it was a hoax. They left behind teenaged daughters without mothers. For anti-vaxers, it less about keeping their kids safe, and more about going rogue, being rebellious.
