Geology fact of the day: the mineral gypsum takes multiple shapes, including the gypsum rose (eponymous). But its more common “form” very likely lives rent-free in your home. Plaster, drywall, and Sheetrock(R) are all primarily composed of gypsum for its fire resistant properties. Pretty and useful!
