I actually really liked both movies. I know they had to stick to the musical and book, but still...
They could have just cut the love song and insinuate a bisexual throuple. Not perfect, but like, more acceptable? I guess?

Wicked 2 could have ended in a show of solidarity between lesbians and gays, instead it gave us a straight couple with 0 chemistry
