Still figuring this game of life out... will always make progress but won't be done until the end.
I read that about his rally in SC last week. Was that also true about participating in the parade?

Wow, are you barking up the wrong tree. I ABSOLUTELY believe Dems are complicit for this fiasco. I just think its a systematic problem, and that holding 7 individuals accountable who voted a certain way in a vote where their votes were useless . a waste of our outrage and energy.

Obviously not. Yes, they could, and should hold a shadow hearing. But they can't "call her in", they have no subpoena power.
June 13, 2025 at 3:57 PM
No, he can't. "Ranking" member means he is the leading member of the minority. A hearing will only happen if a majority on the committee wants it, and the Republicans are too chicken-s**t to do it.

It doesn't matter. 7 dems voted to confirm her, there still would have been a majority if they had voted no. She was going to be confirmed by Republicans no matter what. Why aren't you asking us to hold *them* to account?

(2/2) However, you then muddy the waters by attacking Tim Snyder's flight itself. He gets to choose what is best for his family, without criticism from those who are fighting the same fight he is. Let's focus on the institutional wrongs, rather than the decisions of an individual.

I agree with the gist of your original post: that the Times focusing multiple column inches on those who flee, rather than focusing on those who stay and fight, is sending the wrong message (1/2)

(2/2) he is trying to establish that he has powers afforded to him in time of war. Because if he can get the Supreme Court to agree that he has the right to use even one power usually reserved for a president during war time, he will establish the right to #CancelElections.

I believe he won't seek a third term. I believe he will find a way to not end this one. He's already laying the groundwork: wartime powers, suspend the 2028 election indefinitely .

That we are *paying* El Salvador to detain.

(2/2) I am simply announcing that, despite my misgivings, I got home safely today.

"Whole Paycheck" hasn't been on my go-to list for over a decade, despite it being the closest grocery store to me.
Better options are:Trader Joe's, Costco, WinCo, your local co_op, and Asian Family Market.

Just to be clear,I am not "finally" fired up, I am *more* fired up. Of course I am aware that there have been calls to action before this. Cory Booker's last night was the loudest and very inspiring. Asking if it will make a difference sounds defeatist to me, and *that* was what I was calling out.
April 2, 2025 at 12:24 PM
Only if you let it. This was a call to action, not the endgame. Will you answer? I, personally am fired up!

Hakeem Jeffries has asked that you and all Dem's hold town halls this week. Please publicize the dates and locations of yours ASAP.

I agree!
