There’ll be relieving opportunities, but after what’s been three years of under and unemployment, it’d be nice to have some certainty and feel like we’re able to keep our heads above water again.

The only good bits is my mum selling us her car she no longer uses and loaning us the money to do so, and the builder fessed up and is going to fix the largely cosmetic damage (only after we popped next door to ask about it), but honestly it just feels like one thing after another.

The whole thing is designed so that the Coalition can say they’re not forcing amalgamations even though the process basically forces regions down that path with the minister waving a big stick at them.

Also first dentist wanted to do two crowns that second dentist said aren’t needed… turns out first dentist had just invested in a shiny new in surgery crown machine…

My first dentist said extraction and implant for something like $5k-$6k and did nothing about the toothache other than antibiotics. Went for a second opinion elsewhere and he did an emergency filling to get me through to an extraction and said an implant was unnecessary for the 2nd molar.

I know it's early days, but getting a rejection email where they noted they'd had over 100 qualified applicants really did feel like nothing had changed
