I think it’s high time we take back the national narrative. For centuries Americans of all races, genders, religions, and abilities have worked to create a more perfect union, and we should shout from the rooftops that WE are America. Not these idiot white supremacist authoritarians.

The NPX is not about guaranteeing anyone productions. It's about connecting the entire theater community together. To each other and to resources. It's about community and generosity.

Which means that 9 out of 10 plays NEVER get produced. Also, one world premiere per DECADE is average.

Please remember that if there are 10,000 playwrights in the US, each producing one new play per year, that's 10,000 new scripts per year entering the world...against only 1,000 or so world premiere slots.
