School is about to start up soon and I'm bordering on the edge of exhausted and numb. I love meeting my students, love engaging in learning with them, but I really wish that it was the beginning of the summer or that we had another month. I didn't rest any.

I would love to be a guy with zero knowledge of an organization who came in and messed everything up and then was just told, “hey, come over here and let us help you…” Zero accountability for the mess he has made.

So, cute Cat Mom moment. Was on the couch watching tv when baby plopped right where I was going to put my right leg. Ended up tucking my right foot under my left knee and gave her a leg pillow to lean against. I couldn't move until this morning...when I had to get up to teach my first Spring class.

At home today working on syllabi, finishing some edits, and drinking chai honeybush tea from SistaTeas. School starts next week, and I've spent my Christmas break relaxing and reclaiming my time. Also, started writing creatively again. I am in a better headspace. Prepped for the freeze coming too.
