Last bus from Leeds Bradford Airport into Leeds is 2200. Full flight from Amsterdam scheduled to arrive at 2155. The bus leaves on time with like 8 people on it, which I guess is not profitable. Everybody else is now getting taxis. Embarrassing infrastructure.

Thread of things I've heard or read recently in (mostly British) English that I think are kind of interesting. This is meant to be descriptivist rather than judgemental (although I guess by definition, if I've noticed something, it's probably because I think it's striking or it's wrong to me).

I've watched a lot of cyclocross over Christmas. Helen Wyman is the best sport commentator out there. Her ability to see small technical things and explain how they're affecting the race - live! - is brilliant. I've learnt loads.

Wild how people choose to make their first ever trip to a supermarket on Christmas Eve. Look, a big basket, on wheels, with a handle! How lovely, I'll park it perpendicular to the aisle, nobody else needs to go in either direction. Why no, I've never paid money for things before, how does that work?

Cases of Leeds are rising all over the UK, but don't worry, you can get an anti-Leeds vaccine, according to my GP.

I tried using copilot to do something. I tried different prompts for two hours with no success. I gave up and did it in 15 mins using the old ways - a youtube video of some guy doing what I needed to do, and some other guy's blog which said "if that didn't work, try this."

The Republic of Wolves and releasing stuff in December to mess up your end of year lists, an iconic combo

I wish we could get a UK public information film to let everybody know that =xlookup() is approximately a billion times better than =vlookup().
