What happens when a new regular comes into his coffee shop? A regular that is painfully his type. Will Soap manage to juggle his two worlds?

“Could drink ya straight under the table, ‘s in ma blood!” Soap grumbled, his tongue loosened by the novelty of the moment. He could already feel his face heating up, could feel the warm flush of alcohol in his empty stomach. He should have probably eaten something first… “Sure ‘bout that? Already turning red,” Ghost needled, cracking open yet another can before he handed it to Soap. Soap was a little more careful this time, knocking back about half of it. “Fuck off, ‘s just my skin,” Soap grumbled, knowing full well that his flush was only getting worse. “What’s with you anyway? Giving me the cold shoulder all the time and suddenly you want to be drinking,” Soap added with a huff, a slow, sluggish part of his brain reeling at how easily he’d said those words. “Keeping you safe, this time of year has me in a rotten mood,” Ghost grumbled back, his face suddenly turning grim. “This–” he swings the can around in a lazy arc, “–makes me amicable.”

“Ghost–” “Ah ah, puppies don’t talk,” Ghost interrupted, having grabbed Soap’s jaw to force his head upwards. “You’ll only be barking and whining for today, words will get you punished, you hear?” Ghost asked, staring down at him. Soap opened his mouth to answer, but he quickly clicked it back shut when he saw the warning arch of Ghost’s brow. “C’mon puppy, give us a yip,” Ghost teased, shaking Soap’s head a little. Heat rushed to Soap’s cheeks, he’d rather sink into the ground than bark at Ghost, but he didn’t really have much of a choice. He’d agreed to doing anything that Ghost asked after all. *yip* “Och, you a tiny runt? Give me a big one!” Ghost said, his eyes glimmering with amusement. Soap wanted to fucking die, he was so embarrassed, but he knew that Ghost’s teasing would only get worse the longer he avoided it. *Bark!*

Simon had watched the little dot move over his screen for a few hours now, the little remote wandering through his fingers again and again. Sometimes he’d turn the wheel up, sometimes down, but he never turned it off. He wanted his Johnny to have a good time after all. He glanced over to his other screen every now and again, watching as the transactions came in. He’d expected the two of them to drain his card for all it was worth, so he was surprised that they hadn’t even broken the 1k yet — and that was with their brunch included. Seemed like Johnny still didn’t quite trust it, with what had happened before. Simon wouldn’t fault him, although he did feel a little sad that Johnny wasn’t using his present to the fullest. Maybe Simon just had to take him on another trip of his own, show him what he was really worth. Simon shook his head, that wasn’t their dynamic anymore. Johnny might have looked sweet all rosey-cheeked, but tears certainly suited him better. So Simon would spoil him with leather and lace instead, spoil him with expensive toys, with time and attention. He glanced at the map once more, then the time. And finally Simon got up, turning the wheel all the way up before sliding the remote into his pocket. It was time that he retrieved his Pet.

“What will you do to me?” Soap asks, a little more careful now. Instead of answering, Ghost just leans forward to pick up the pills and drop them in Soap’s glass, giving the whole thing a little swirl to help them dissolve. Soap watches with cold horror how quickly they disappear, leaving no trace behind in the amber liquid. It’s that easy, huh? “Really want to spoil your surprise?” Ghost asks with a put on pout and Soap shivers. Dangerous. Slowly reaches out for the glass, he’s got no choice either way, so better to just get it over with. Ghost’s grin turns predatory and he reaches out for his own glass, clinking them together softly. Soap brings the glass to his lips, no smell but that of the alcohol. Hesitates for a heartbeat more, staring at Ghost over the rim. Then he’s knocking it all back, wiping his mouth before he’s slamming the glass down on the table again. His heart is beating fast, feels giddy, excited even. Watches as Ghost takes slow sip from his glass, his vision already becoming blurry. The last thing Soap hears before he’s tipping to the side is a murmured “Good boy”
