I mean I get it was supposed to be a subversion but honestly felt like a cop out. The whole thing felt like German Expressionism with body horror themes, and then it ditched the depth and ended like a gore/body horror

I also hated the ending. so much subtext and imagery that could have led up to a more satisfying ending with more of a moral/payoff
