Because really, it is something unique that a VA brings to a character, it's really an artform to unite the original intended spark of a character with what you bring to the table. In persona's case all the VAs brought so much depth and soul into the characters, it's really quite something. .

Oh yeah, I usually prefer original dub, whichever it is, then turn on subtitles! But I usually also switch around to see what I like best.
That's an extremly unfortunate dub, in fontaines case 😭 I only ever started genshin, so I don't know the character. But that sounds ... soulless. :/

The p5 dub is what endeared me to dubs generally. I am now more curious to see if I like the dubs or originals better in media. Before I was pretty die hard on originals.
