Why what?

You should love your country like you love yourself or your family: You should rejoice in your/their/its strengths, grieve your/their/its failings, and seek your/their/its good -- but never at the expense of other selves, other families, or other countries.

I think the first two panels I'd say

Patriotism: I'm going to make my house better -- it's my house, and I want it to be the best a house can be.

Nationalism: I don't need to make my house any better -- it's my house, it's already the best a house can be.

Similarly, modern iPhones don't come with an e-reader app. They come with a book store, which you happen to be able to put your own books into. But it's not structured to help you read books -- even books you've purchased through the store; it's structured to sell you more books.

Any thoughts how this would apply to Mark 2:26, what David did "in the days of Abiathar the high priest" (ἐπὶ Ἀβιαθὰρ ἀρχιερέως)?

Other examples: "I think you might be injecting a thought about a dog! Is it a dog? That would be my guess - maybe a cute, playful puppy? I'm detecting something fuzzy and friendly in my 'mind'!"

3. Wait a minute, this is Mark 6. The "girl" is Herod's step-daughter / niece, and so the the "it" is John the Baptist's head.
Nothing like a little semantic whiplash to start your day off right.

2. Look up "kosarion": "girl, little girl". Look up "mitri": "mother". "And the girl gave it to her mother." Oh, that's nice.
