Stats are stats. Guy doesn’t show up when it matters and misses a ton of sitters. He’s also super lazy on defense and prone to a dumb card or foul. I wouldn’t hate having him on the bench but if the front office turned into a pile of GAM I’d be happy too.

Any idea how they would make that transition? Turn a season into a short summer tournament? Create a massive spread out March to May season? Seems awkward

Moose was only my example. Jordan is culpable, Rusnak hasn’t been scoring, etc. My point is we’ve talked all year about how many good chances but don’t score them. I would argue we are better team as a whole but miss a real finisher. I think we need to stop being ok with just making good chances

If you can’t finish all those chances then its a problem. This has been our Achilles heel all year. PDLV is our only + finisher. I know Moose got a lot of goals but he also lead the league in XP telling you he missed a lot of good chances

Schmetz had the perfect opportunity to make the switch with Thomas coming off such a great Leages cup but nope. Rose colored history > current form is always his MO

It’s crazy. Opponents can literally tackle one of our players after he beats his man and it’s nothing but this is worthy of a second yellow. It always feels like the bar is so high for who we play and super low for us

I think you’re wrong on this. You don’t want your CB 1v1 with a winger in the box. Nouhou coming to cover was fine. Hakimi was open at the back because he ran right by Rusnak who should have tracked him but didn’t. It’s on Rusnak.

You are 100% right on this. I think it’s a factor of Schmetz being such a loyal players coach. He has a hard time just changing the lineup let alone the team. Right now they are playing like they know their jobs are NOT on the line - and it’s bad.

It’s not all JP. Pairing him with Leyva who is also slow is just a bad idea. LAFC ran rings around them both. Put them with a more dynamic partner and it could be fine. Schmetz dropped an egg on this one
