Nonbinary leftie. I love my family, my job, board/computer games, and our cats. Will practice Spanish with almost anyone.
Though the people at elite universities are probably very filtered for the more acceptable and convenient disabilities. People with some kinds of disabilities don't have much of a shot.

I wish I could say they were the only stain there

My state passed a 15 dollar minimum wage bill. It's still not a living wage, of course.

Bus drivers deserve better traction! Repair our streets with something better than members of the Trump administration!

My mom just minimizes how many people do work and qualify for SNAP. So I sent her these facts, to be helpful.
December 2, 2025 at 4:16 PM
No kidding.
That said I'm not pleased either. We should have a minimum wage where those people all have enough to live comfortably so they don't have to qualify for SNAP. Which is not what your mom meant of course.

I'm not sure I know that one, but Little Drummer Boy is also on my list of most hated, which is is why I love to participate in bsky.app/profile/litt.... I was going to be avoiding the song anyway. Much more fun to make a game of it!

My take away is that we need people to consume art. We need people to think about things that are exciting and completely unrelated to their job. We need inspiration.

I hope all authors with huge heavy stories like this one will persist in sharing their grim tales. We may want warnings about what we are in for, but we NEED to know.
December 2, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Absolutely! This sort of article is essential truth telling and there's not nearly enough of it right now It's what people in the old days called prophetic.
When I warn people about grim stories, it's because I think it helps to read a piece in the right frame of mind.

That is such a perfect example of religious bias. In any fair world it would be actionable.

Alt text for those who need it. This is amazing.

And yet since he was a skilled reporter, the shoes are much too big for any of those clowns. All together they still won't come close to filling them.

And now I feel like a hipster. I was (professionally) fixing overuse of em-dashes before it was cool!

Reminds me of what @littlebridgetroll.bsky.social says about "I don't mind if guilt is your kink, but I don't want to carry those feelings.

As a side point, I started following you because you were interesting here, but now I'm trying to figure out which Will Hunter you might be because I realize I've bought and read books by a Will Hunter, so you are or are not also an author whose works I follow. Which is extra surreal.

It's only shitty if you don't care about who else is hurt. It's utterly valid that you are worried about being damaged.

That's rage inducing even before we get to your house stinking of things you hate.

I've done it once in my life and it was because their newsletter was so consistently interesting. But a newsletter is more text than any short ad (and a lot of work!)

An adjacent time, I regularly discussed an author's newsletter with my friend (also a subscriber) then my friend bought me her book.

100% this. Absolutely never assume anything on any work device or work-connected account is private.
