We attended another protest on Presidents’ Day. Small town Auburn had a pretty good turnout. I’d guess about 300 though sources said it was higher.

NEW: The USDA acknowledged that over the weekend, it accidentally fired "several" agency employees who are working on the federal government's response to the H5N1 avian flu outbreak.
The agency adds it is trying to quickly reverse the firings.

My husband and I participated in the 50501 protest in Sacramento, CA. Lots of like-minded, diverse people. Glad we made it. For such short notice I think the event was a success.
