I love following real people showing their passions and interests
Today’s #randomgamesaturday is Xenogears, the ambitious PS1 RPG. Also one that, in order to tell its whole story, turns into a slideshow halfway through.

Even so I’ve played through it twice, and decades later I’m still listening to its soundtrack constantly.

And the original Japanese one is so stylish.

That one and art of fighting’s look like something that could’ve been VHS box art of martial flicks.

post a random picture or else everything will go bad in 2026.

My #randomgamesaturday today isn’t so random. I just bought RPM Racing, fully knowing it’s kind of a crappy gaming, because it was programmed by the late legendary @burgerbecky.bsky.social.

It walked so Rock n’ Roll Racing could fly.

You will be visited by three wise guys

Looks like Alyssa Milano in the Double Dragon movie

Way to go, @necrosoftgames.com! I can’t wait to play it!
November 20, 2025 at 10:39 PM
That’s definitely a thing

Mine yellowed like a NES

Today, on this #RandomGameSaturday, I’ll show you guys my copy of the SFC version of Mortal Kombat 2.

It’s somewhat of a curiosity because it has green blood and, whenever a fatality is executed, the screen turns black and white. It’s quite cool.

Today, in this #RandomGameSaturday, you’ll see my copy of Top Gear signed by its composer, Barry Leitch.

Top Gear is kind of a big thing here in Brazil, and Barry is treated as a rockstar whenever he comes, much to his surprise. He’s also the sweetest man ever.

Today, for #RandomGameSaturday, I’ll show you my copy of ActRaiser signed by Yuzo Koshiro a month ago at RetroCon here in Brazil.

ActRaiser is one of my comfort games. I’ve played through it a few dozen times, enjoyed every one of them, and Yuzo’s music is a great part of it.

For this #RandomGameSaturday I bring you the gift of Dolucky’s A-League Soccer, a really fun Super Famicom exclusive. It’s a mascot soccer game before those were popular.

Fire up an emulator and play it a little. You won’t regret it.

Today’s #RandomGameSaturday comes thanks to @barleybap.bsky.social’s influence. It arrived just yesterday, actually.

The Ooze (MD) is a quite original game where you play as a puddle of goo and seek revenge.

Also I love some personality in my game carts. This has a name softly carved in it.

Here are some terrible games that I kinda like because I played them early in my life.

No judgment please.

Today’s #RandomGameSaturday is a copy of what’s probably the best beat ‘em up for the good old Game Boy, Double Dragon 2.

It’s a reskin of a game called Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-Kun: Bangai Rantouhen, so it plays a little differently than what’s to be expected from a Double Dragon game.

A well loved copy of Thunder Force 3 for the Sega Mega Drive is today’s #RandomGameSaturday.

You know what? I’d rather buy games like these than mint copies. Gotta love a cartridge with history.

My copy of NBA Jam TE for the Mega Drive 32x is today’s #RandomGameSaturday.

I think this game has not aged a day and is still immensely fun. The 32x version might be the best of all of them.
May 24, 2025 at 4:10 PM
For this #RandomGameSaturday, a recently arrived copy of Eternal City (don’t mind the cover typo) for the PC Engine.

It’s the system’s Metroid equivalent and plays reasonably well. Cover art by Masamune Shirow.

On this #RandomGameSaturday I’ll show you my copy of Sparkster for the Mega Drive which has recently arrived.

Rocket Knight and the SNES version of Sparkster get all the fame, but this game is also peak Konami and should be played. Why not do it this weekend?

Today I’ll post a different kind of game: Tropical Fish, a very fun Game & Watch.

It’s quite new too, which is great news since it’s a pretty little thing.
April 5, 2025 at 11:15 AM
And I’ll quote @kimimi.bsky.social great article this “Show a game Saturday” because she mentions the amazing Famicom port of Salamander, but there’s no picture of what is possibly the prettiest game cartridge ever made.

Fresh new from the mail: this Saturday, let me introduce you the 32x version of Starfleet Academy, a rare good game for the system and a rare good game for the franchise.
March 22, 2025 at 9:22 AM
Keeping with the theme, here’s my Japanese copy of Hoshi no Kirby for this “show a game Saturday”!

What a great little start for this franchise. This game oozes charm.

For this “show a game Saturday”, here’s my copy of one of the greatest games ever made, OutRun 2006.

It’s incredible how this game makes time pass quickly when you’re playing it.
