A great week with young and senior scientists across the globe on the development and application of species niche models across realms, space and time. Until we meet again.
The 2025 edition of the SDM course marked the 10th anniversary of this event. It was a real pleasure to engage once again with high-level students, postdocs and senior professionals during this immersive seven-day exploration of the geography of species distributions and interactions.

Just back from an intense week at the SSoQE in Marienbad (Czech Republic), diving deep into quantitative ecology. We bridged species dynamics & modern data science, from SDMs and paleo-data to nights filled with conversations. Grateful to the organizers and the international cohort of ecologists!

New paper in GEB: coral reefs are changing, but the most common shift is not what you think it might be. Systems dominated by live corals and small fishes are disappearing, while those dominated by algae and large fishes are becoming more common.
