A peculiar blend of domestic warmth and flamboyant panache. Homemade vanilla pudding paired with opulent boozy notes - kir royale, imbibed while in pyjamas. The perfume is “hygge” and “raffinatezza” distilled. What a feat.

Ode Ona - Moonkissed Rhapsody (2025)
I fell in love with this soft, drowsy lavender musk wrapped in hay and a trace of vetiver — I found it soothing, like a faded old sweater that you put on in the morning. No one else seemed to notice; they just called it meh.

Creed - Fragaria (2025)
Something between stale strawberry bubble gum and some type of medicinal syrup for children. I can’t imagine who this would be for. It’s not off-putting or cloying, but if it were it may have actually been more interesting.

Creed - Fragaria (2025)
Something between stale strawberry bubble gum and some type of medicinal syrup for children. I can’t imagine who this would be for. It’s not off-putting or cloying, but if it were it may have actually been more interesting.

The 7 Virtues - Clementine Dream (2025)
I really wanted to like this. I didn’t get the fresh clementine zest, or the citrus-creamsicle dry down. I just got screechy cleaning product. To be fair, I think my skin doesn’t love citrus notes in general. This one won’t be a match for me.

I’m on a trip to California, so I popped into a Sephora and tried these Lore scents. Nothing groundbreaking, but comfortably approachable. My favorite is “Lovely and a little twisted”, with Rose Milk, Pistachio, and Patchouli. Sincere and simple.

I’m fascinated by this development. Squishmallows releasing 3 affordable ($58) perfumes inspired by their characters - a fruity floral, a “moody” floral, and a vanilla gourmand. Infused with DSM-Firmenich’s “EmotiWaves” technology, which is engineered to evoke feelings of happiness through scent.

I could not agree with this more. It took me a while to accept that I don’t love certain notes or fragrances. I really started loving fragrance once I relaxed about it and just focused on the enjoyment of the craft.

A fresh set of samples delivered from Nose, Paris. One of my favorite perfume shops. I told myself to be spendthrift this month….oh well. The treats will continue until morale improves.

Everything about this perfume confused me. The sticky-sweet bubblegum-pink bottle and juice belie a green floral perfume with bite. There is a lovely beautiful rose and geranium melange, topped with fresh basil…but not worth the hefty price tag.

Polished and rebellious, saffron and pink pepper give a clean cut of heat before iris and supple suede smooth the edges. The drydown is urbane and magnetic, as it settles into woody perfume on a broken in and well aged leather jacket.

I love New Notes for their proudly loud scents. This is no exception, flagrantly fruity, creamy, and spicy - this perfume is pure fun. If I wasn’t topped up on summer perfumes, I think I would buy this. Not really a cold weather vibe.

True to the Fugazzi DNA, this perfume is fun, vibrant, and rich. The opening is sticky-sweet citrus blast, that becomes jammy with hints of vetiver. This is cute, but I did find the opening a bit too artificial and somewhat cloying.

Spicy, sweet, clean, and soft. Praiseworthy for telling a coherent story, the perfume stayed true to a theme - clean-cut, tailored, and sharp. I like some stank in my perfumes, but I appreciated what #Penhaligon’s did with this scent. I would wear it, but would not buy.

A thick, rich, perfume that is deeply animalic and musky, that are enveloping in a very old-school gentleman sort of way. Brings to mind a cigar, a dinner jacket, and wafts of wood. Not something I’d wear every day, but nice.
