Four stars is my default for anything visually spectacular, although DRAGON'S HEAVEN is kind of a five-star visual with a two-star story. There's not much depth even though it's super cool. Contrast with ANGEL'S EGG, an amazing enigma.

I also watched KRULL for the first time (I know!), and for a movie that's been a punchline since I was a kid . . . I kinda dug it. Not perfect, but enjoyably grandiose and weird.

Caidin wrote two Indiana Jones tie-in novels, and they're pretty strange. I suspect they were originally meant for Doc Savage or someone similar, or else Caidin just didn’t vibe with Indy as previously established.

TOO BEAUTIFUL TO DIE (1988 Italian erotic thriller) isn't a great movie, but it is extremely '80s in its style. You might think the barbarian-chic music video in the film is an exaggeration, but stuff really looked like that (e.g. Cindy Crawford's Pocari Sweat ads in Japan).

Politics aside, KISS is one of the few artists as dedicated to merchandising as Trump himself, so it makes sense he would want to honor them.
