It was definitely oop north somewhere. The MD of the company I was working at used to be a director of a company that made wiring looms for fruit machines. Which is how he knew my boss and persuaded him to move down to this neck of the woods...I think 🤔

Got a feeling my old boss from yonks ago used to work for Barcrest 🤔. We were designing vending machines, but he often spoke of his fruit machine days.

Today copilot was telling me the fault was with the Azure SDK and I needed to bypass it with REST. There was indeed a bug in the SDK which was fixed *18 months ago*. It ate humble AI pie when I pointed this out...

Only ever used mine for iOS stuff. Not sure it will work for such things anymore. Unfortunately an app I did yonks ago is about to expire unless the certificate is renewed, so I guess I am going to find out shortly 😕

Other than NVIDIA, everyone else is just incinerating cash. OpenAI loses millions every single day. It's completely bonkers.

Always have mixed feelings about these sort of things. Kind of cool, but probably just an expensive FPGA chip in reality. 300 quid for an emulator seems a lot...

Microsoft have (probably rightly) copped a lot of flack for stopping support for older hardware, but my iMac is no longer supported by Apple and it's newer than my PC... 😐

Are we talking... mechanical robins... rotating snowmen with an improbable 3 way cracker..? (I may spend too long watching 1980s Christmas continuity announcements on YouTube...)

It's just adverts for get rich quick schemes and Chinese cr*p these days. Interspersed with the thoughts of chairman Musk. Wonder how long it can survive financially 🤔
