Sure it's not perfect, some things not of your interest will slip through but again, you have the power to decide what you want to see.
The old internet of the 2000s is like this, a lot of us actively went out of our way to engage with different sites and communities. It's called *social* media!!

And sure, one can point out that you don't have to play the maps there. But considering that mentality is why we have too many low quality maps bloating the map pool, I don't think that's a good excuse there.

Same thing with maps like Banana Bay and Wutville, don't complain that "sweats and tryhards" hate having fun. Because let me tell you, anyone who actually plays TF2 as an actual game and not a meme have higher standards for maps.

I don't think he plays games in general really, but oh I can bet he looks at Crash as "outdated" and something to purge from Naughty Dog's history. Not that Naughty Dog has been the same studio for a long time now.
