Awesome book mail today! Missed the release party (thanks for making life miserable, work!), sorry Todd, but the fact i get the brochure almost makes up for that. That was a great bonus I wasn't expecting. Can't wait to dig into this one.

We must go through 50 rolls of paper towels per month just for cat puke. Why do people like these things again...?

If you're one of those weird people who only read one book a year, you can't go wrong with this one. This will be burned into my mind for several lifetimes.

We have a big billboard on the interstate going through town stating the next Buc-ee's is just 836 miles east. I'll never understand you mid-westerners and your undying love for a gas station.

Love this show. Just started it recently. Its not exceptional in any way, really. I think for me its the interaction between Martin and Short that i love. It fills me with a sense of nostalgia. www.imdb.com/title/tt1169...

I wonder if Google was petitioned enough times, they change Mar A Lago to Berghof 2?

I just witnessed my employer deny a worker the day off after their parent suffered a debilitating stroke. I'm starting to think my employer doesn't like us.

Anybody know of a good psychology book on the uncanny valley? I see a lot of fiction, but no actual academic pieces on it.

Damn...I think Max Booth's Indiana Death Song just broke some vital component of humanity within me. I dont even want my own teeth in my mouth now.

Always nice returning home after a few days away to find the cats haven't burnt the joint down. I'm sure they gave it their very best effort, but honestly, they're not too bright.

Sometimes taking the family out of town for a few days is like the secret service accommodating the president when he says he wants to go to mcdonalds. Weeks of intense preparation for a stressful ten minute trip down the street and back.

I can remember when pizza was the only option for broke college students and people who couldn't afford the cafe inside KMart. Now it costs more per ounce than gold!

It took me until I was 50 to realize sometimes it's okay to spend years on a novel for just myself. That something needed to come out that wasn't meant for anyone else. That feels great.

My wife has this silly notion that just because I have far more books than I'll ever be able to read in a lifetime, that it means I shouldn't buy more. That's not how a readers mind works.
