Yeah. In conversation, I feel that needlessly reminding people that birds are reptiles can be surprisingly educational at best and annoying at worst.

I feel like it should be understood that when somebody talks about reptiles, they're typically not including birds, but that it's still correct to refer to birds as reptiles in conversation. But if somebody says "All reptiles" in debate and exclude birds, it's right to correct them.
