Choke on this!
Ok, cool. I'll just sit out. I'll stop my advocacy and just hope it all works out. Enjoy the next few decades.

I still talk to a woman who sat out because she was under the impression that it wouldn't have been any different. I spent every day from June to November last year trying to get her to change her mind. Messaging was a problem in 24.

No, this is the original post I responded to and it spilled over here...

How about not having Biden shot himself in the first debate and say he killed Medicare? Maybe have Kamala run from the start? Maybe have some Palestinian voices at the DNC. Maybe actually attack Trump instead of focus group approved slogans. Idk.

I'm in a red state. Most of the white men I talk to like big trucks and guns. Convincing them that Dems aren't going to take that away from them is usually 90% of any political conversation.
September 25, 2025 at 4:36 AM
Who is blaming black people? Was Joe Biden a black person? Is Chuck Shumer? Nancy Pelosi? Hillary Clinton? Not once have i blamed anyone but people who didn't vote or people who told other people not to vote. Holy shit
September 25, 2025 at 4:31 AM
They aren't my friends. They are my coworkers, my neighbors, whoever was on the other side of the phone. People didn't want to vote for dems in 24, and if you have a fuck off then mentality, it'll happen again in 26. I don't understand where the fucking disconnect is
September 25, 2025 at 4:29 AM
I'm sorry, who did I say shut up to? Please post that so I can see. I'm trying to understand what to say to my redneck neighbors to get them to wake up, and the responses have been for me to shut up. Telling people not to vote because you don't like something they say is bad messaging.
September 25, 2025 at 4:26 AM
It absolutely should never be about race. MAGA wants every election to be about race. Dems should what to make elections about making the country better for everyone. If you help the marginalized, you help the society as a whole. That's a great message. Telling white people not to vote isn't.
September 25, 2025 at 4:22 AM
I'm blaming Dems for having bad messaging. You seem to keep making this about race, so I'm gonna disengage here. Maybe think about how you can bring people into the party instead of pushing them out because they don't agree with you on something
September 25, 2025 at 4:16 AM
Great, let's have that conversation. That's what I was "called out" for. My opinion on Colbert/AOC. I'm "lashing out" because telling people they should sit out of elections because of their primary picks 3 years early is going to lose more elections. I'm tired of losing elections to morons
September 25, 2025 at 4:14 AM
The people who sat home were Lebanese women. They were Christian women, Muslim women and Jewish women. And men. All kinds of people sat home. That's why it's important to get them to vote, even if they don't agree 100%. When people don't vote, they racists win. Telling people not to vote is bad.
September 25, 2025 at 4:07 AM
Cool, AOC/Colbert. Is everyone happy now? This is a very dumb conversation that was started by a "Kimmel/Newsome 28" post. I've never argued about taking anyone's rights away. I've been on the side of "everyone should vote" since this conversation began. Ya'll need to learn how to read.
September 25, 2025 at 4:04 AM
37% voted for Dems. That's more than 1 in 3. Almost 2 out of 5. My goal, and I hope every other person who wants to keep democracy going, should be to get that number higher. Not tell them to just vote red or sit out.
September 25, 2025 at 4:00 AM
What are they saying to me? Please, mansplain it. Sit down and don't participate in the next election?
September 25, 2025 at 3:57 AM
Cool. I'm sure having the same messaging in 26 will get the House and Senate back. Flawless logic
September 25, 2025 at 3:55 AM
If you disagree with someone on an issue, talk to them. That's been my whole point the entire night. If you don't like what someone says and immediately shut it down, you've lost that person's vote. We need every single American in 28, and telling white men to not vote will have the opposite effect
September 25, 2025 at 3:53 AM
They didn't listen because they were told if they didn't agree with something 100%, they weren't part of the party. There were so many people I spoke to that stayed home in 24. They were told they weren't welcomed because they supported Israel or didn't get the vaccine. Purity tests are a bad thing
September 25, 2025 at 3:49 AM
🫵🤡
September 25, 2025 at 3:44 AM
You obviously didn't talk to anyone outside your bubble in 24...
September 25, 2025 at 3:42 AM
Dumbass, that's not the conversation we're having. The conversation is about whether telling white men to sit out the next election is a good messaging strategy. If there's a women candidate that you have in mind for 28, that would be relevant. Saying black women are the Dems base isn't
September 25, 2025 at 3:38 AM
That's pretty racist. Black women are more than just a political party base. What a misogynistic thing to say
September 25, 2025 at 3:36 AM
I don't know the race of any of the people I've interacted with tonight, unless they tell me. So I don't know which black woman you're talking about in this context, lady. I was told not to vote, and that's what I'm responding to.
September 25, 2025 at 3:32 AM
If you have a better way to talk to people who are surrounded by MAGA cultists, I'd love to hear it
September 25, 2025 at 3:23 AM
What are you even talking about? If white men carry all the power, and the message from Dems is "fuck off", how do you expect to get that power away from them?
