It comes to mind that at 62 I’m sort of in a death spiral. Granted it might be 20 years. But it might be 20 days. Either way I’m spiraling downward.

Today I pulled into Sam’s Club to gas up behind a Jeep Gladiator. Brand spankin’ new. I got out walked toward the guy and said “Hello.” I reached out and handed him a duck.
“Thank you.” He smiled really big. “That’s my first one.” He pointed and waved and went back to gassing up.
It was a good day.
