I think the first one is Kaizen: A Factory Story! It's a really cool looking puzzley factory automation game with serious narrative hooks. Haven't played it myself yet, but I have heard really great things.

This isn't to contradict anything obv, I LOVE little sibling mode in games. Also, Nintendo still killing it here with Pauline mode in the new Donkey Kong game. They will always go the extra mile to make sure a child can enjoy it... as long as they're able bodied. Still one of their worst faults.

I would fight with others at school about how Wind Waker was the best Zelda game having only walked around in the tutorial island, and I think thats great! I had a very real experience with that game

Mario galaxy did this so good! Although, funnily enough, as a YOUNG kid I spent most of my time watching my older sibling play games, but in the best possible sense. I think sitting someone who's playing a game is often enough of a shared experience for me!

I think it can work, even in this case, with more of a suspend system. I am all for building tension with limited checkpoints, but playing a game like that and not being able to exit without losing progress is can be a large frustration.
