This is one of the best 2000s albums I've heard in a long time, honestly holds up to semi-similar stuff like Glow Pt. 2 and Sea Change. Also apparantly Bill was married to Joanna Newsom, so there's that.

Oh yeah it's a grower. Got this on vinyl as a late bday present from my uncle and playing it really got me to appreciate how insane some of the guitar work here is. I would learn some of it if my fingers weren't completely busted from going to the local climbinb wall

This was way better than I was lead to believe. Sure, Frank's vocals don't have the same "oompf" as they did back in the 80s, but for a Pixies album in 2024 I'm really suprised at how good it actually is.

Expected a pretty standard late-2000s indie pop album, got a surprisingly weird and mathy one instead.
Very impressive guitar work for what it is, quite a cool spin on the quirky 2000s indie pop. Probably won't come back to it though.

Subtle genius. Apparantly he produced the entire album by himself which is really impressive considering how creative and slick the beats are. Dude gave a great performance too. Wished I listened to this sooner, RIP KA.
