Yeah I recall reading it for the first time and thinking it was devastating. Anytime Hauerwas is mentioned I refer to Lou’s article.

I had once wanted to write about Hauerwas’ emphasis on being Texan and yet never mentioning the state’s bloody anti-Mexican history or anyone with a Hispanic sounding name. A lot left unexplored. But ultimately writing such a piece wasn’t worth the investment.
