I wrote below notes from Catanduanes, the province where the latest storm, Super Typhoon Man-yi (locally known as Pepito), first made landfall. Hundreds of houses were flattened. 70,000 people forced to evacuate.

I just visited Catanduanes (Eastern Philippines) where super typhoon «Pepito » made 1st landfall. Pre-emptive evacuations led by local authorities saved thousands of lives. However, agriculture severely impacted. Now, we have to speed up recovery efforts. Join our Humanitarian Needs & Priority Plan
