i’m sure. assuming he never responded to you. but he blocks anyone who dares challenge his knowledge of… checks notes… non presbyterian “monastic societies” that self identify as ecumenical and are in fact more closely aligned with evangelicals than anything at this point in time. that’s nice.

quite frankly, someone who’s whole premise hinges on “inconvenient truths” dismissing and blocking someone with personal knowledge of something they had no knowledge of a few days ago in favor of wikipedia is beyond laughable and hypocritical, to say the least.

the context is that despite what their public literature says the similarities between the community and the episcopal church are minimal at best. it wasn’t founded by and contains no actual clergy. most members at this point believe in the rapture, etc.

great job reading their wikipedia page. kudos. maybe ask yourself critically why they were not accepted? perhaps a little more research than wikipedia is called for? just a suggestion. there’s much more at play than their liturgical practices.

can you say the same? no. but please tell me again how i don’t know anything.

your experience is all well and good. however, the community was founded by two women who were originally christian scientists who happened to meet in an episcopal church. but what would i know right, i only grew up and lived most of my life locally to it and know dozens of people who have left it.

that’s nice. i love it when people talk out of school in an attempt to speak from a position of authority on a matter.

it is most certainly not an offshoot of anglican monasticism and you absolutely have not spent time in a community from the same tradition. but great job in trying to sound like an expert about something you just heard of five minutes ago. well done.
