I was live on the ground as faith leaders marched to the Broadview ICE facility to bring communion to detainees. ICE denied them entry, so they held prayer outside instead. Later, police moved in to disperse the crowd. The night ended without incident, though a few arrests were made.

I am outside the ICE facility in Portland — it’s calm and orderly with a few peaceful demonstrations. Despite claims from President Trump and right wing media, there is no ‘warzone’ here. The situation on the ground doesn’t match the rhetoric. I’ll continue to provide updates on the ground.

I am outside the ICE facility in Portland — it’s calm and orderly with a few peaceful demonstrations. Despite claims from President Trump and right wing media, there is no ‘warzone’ here. The situation on the ground doesn’t match the rhetoric. I’ll continue to provide updates on the ground.
Filming outside Portland’s ICE facility — no warzone here. The president’s ‘like WWII’ claim is exaggeration. Local leaders are suing to block 200 National Guard troops. Peaceful protest coexists with truth, and I’m here to capture that.

Portland protests tonight had a chill vibe overall — even with a handful of pro-ICE / MAGA-type agitators trying hard to stir things up. Protesters stayed calm, refused to take the bait, and the night ended without escalation.

As a U.S. Army veteran, I am 100% against this so-called “parade.” The U.S. military exists to defend our Constitution and protect this country from enemies, both foreign and domestic, not to be paraded around like a prop for Trump
