How much of the perceived bias by referees against Arsenal should be taken seriously. It’s clear that decisions against us are not given against our opponents or competitions. Is this bias real ? Given issues/allegations around referees, should there be. Formal complaint / investigation ?

Genuine question .. what’s the future of the Observer if it doesn’t go behind a paywall and focuses on digital rather than print. The Guardian losses are unsustainable.

A real question .. how long does that endowment last with the losses being sustained. This sounds like opting for a long slow 10 year old death rather than taking a chance. The Scott Trust only has money now as it sold off major assets .. but not much more left to sell.

Honest question .. in the event that the Scott trust sells .. who would you prefer as a potential buyer who won’t put the online version behind a paywall. There are no benefactors left in this space .. so will be a private company who thinks advertising will sustain .. genuinely interested.

Or a tech savvy start up which may try and sustain its independence.

With the losses currently being sustained by the Guardian Media Group .. that gives the papers 12 - 15 years before the endowment is finished. In all honesty, The Observer has a very limited time as an independently funded entity. It will go to a USA or Arab based investors.
