One interesting feature of this is Tindale referring to a specific area as "Kurung" which are now understood to be Woi-wurrung. But he gave them an autonomous tribal status from early documentation. My grandpa's maps also had this. None of this was self-determining of course.

I feel like this image I've been able to find isn't a complete map and for some reason has cropped lutruwita out, as the border and key have been cut off on this copy.
