the AI tools are able to generate parts and assemble them to an assembly within a few minutes, via python scripting inside FreeCad.

The only problem: the AI most of the time doesn't know what it's building (this image is an NC plotter, designed by DeepSeek, the parts have meaningful names though)

Seems like a cool achievement. Wouldn't it be great to have more of these very-high-resolution cameras around? And maybe open the webcam data for the public to watch out the sky?
When you turn it on and it works spectacularly!

The Rubin team has successfully completed the first on-sky engineering tests using the 144-Mpx engineering camera. Up next: installing the largest digital camera in the world, LSST Camera! 🔭🧪

I just noticed that the bsky interface language has some of the buttons in English (i seem to use Turkish generally). E.g. there's FOLLOW-BACK button, instead of "Geri Takip".. is it me (or is it shadows that are dancing on the wall?)

Fun and adventure coming up.
This was my tenth(!) year building 25 days of puzzles for #AdventOfCode. You can solve them all for free! Most people write code to solve them, but you can solve them however you like. I hope they help people become better programmers. 🌟

The first puzzle comes out in two hours: adventofcode.com

Q: How can I transfer a PDF from an IPad to a PC? The iPad recognizes a USB drive, but it doesn't copy (write) the PDF on the drive. Web search says the drive format may be the problem. I don't want to use any web service. I may set up a temporary file server though, if there's not an easier way.

I'm pretty support the idea that parallel processing toolbox should be in the basic licensing, at least for single machine use cases.
Last week I published a post about 20 years of supercomputing in MATLAB blogs.mathworks.com/matlab/2024/...

It got a little lost in all the #SC24 chat so talking about it again :) #HPC
