In addition to having a single shoulder cape, it also has a shield attached to the right shoulder. Now, you might be wondering why there is an ammo drum and ammo belt connected to the rifle. As much as I would like to give a reason, I honestly just thought it was cool XD, so don't think too deeply about it. I will still focus more on the modding of my bootleg Gundam Ground Type, but maybe I will paint up this dude first. I will probs do minimum prep work to get it ready by then. Just wanted to share the first bit of progress that I did with the Gundam Ground Type bootleg (I don't think I clarified what this model was last post, orz) First thing that I did was actually modify the inside of the helmet so that it would allow the faceplate to just slide in from underneath, as shown in the vid. This was achieved with a square file. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a "before" photo of what the inside looked like pre-mod 😅. After getting that sorted out, I began sealing the helmet with some Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. It helps to remove the seam line that runs down the sides of the helmet. Pressing the pieces together allows for beads of cement to pop out. When these dry and cure, sanding them out should make the lines disappear (for the most part. I actually don't know if I did it well XD). All of this was done yesterday. Today, I realized that the line on top of the mohawk looking area didn't have any beads, since I sanded the pieces badly. So I super glued that area, treating it as a putty replacement for any lost plastic in that area. Hopefully the sanding won't be too crazy after a day of drying and curing.
