I was talking about ww2 the whole time, I never moved any goalposts. If you want to include Francoist Spain as "Nazis" (they're both fascist so sure) and include Republican Spain as "Communist" (the USSR wasn't a massive fan but obviously preferred them) then sure, they had been fighting since 36

I know about the Spanish Civil War, the CNT-FAI etc. They're awesome, but I was referring specifically to WW2
