So, making very slow, but semi-steady progress on miniature painting.

These are 1:100 M-109 self propelled howitzers. Came as a set of four. Painted two in a generic green and two in NATO green. Not ready to do a 3-color camo. Too time consuming for what spare time I have right now.

Today's wargaming miniatures are some SA-8s in 1:100 scale.

Bought used and pre-painted.

I did paint the treads (which you can't see in this picture) and added the weathering. Good enough for now.

Today's wargaming post is more 1/100 scale miniatures. I bought these already painted at a local convention, but they had almost no weathering.

In fact, I should probably do MORE weathering to them, but they are good enough for now.

My wife, Joanne, and I went to the Harry Potter Forbidden Forrest Experience, since they were closing (tonight is the last night).

I had low expectations, but it was fun.

I would have liked to seen more animatronics. There were several projected scenes that I thought were well done.

Minor project completed while waiting on plumbing and electrical work to be finished in the primary bathroom...

Had the laundry room repainted. LOTS of cosmetic wall damage from the previous owners repaired. Discovered some plumbing repairs that need to be done, of course.

These are both 1/600 scale miniatures of CSS ARKANSAS. The one on the left is a commercial model, cast in metal. It cost me about $15, IIRC.

The one on the right was 3d printed. The STL file cost me $5, and printing it cost me less than $1.

IMHO, either is acceptable for gaming.

I’m a fan of the Traveller RPG. I bought a 3d printed 50-ton launch in 28mm.

I am slowly painting and building it.

So, another of my interests is the game Ogre, published by Steve Jackson Games. I first played it back in the early 80's (it was first published in 1977).

SJG has sold various versions and miniature sets over the years.

Here is my yellow force that I recently finished.

Some recently painted 3D prints in 1/285 scale (for tabletop wargaming).

The ZUBR-class LCAC was purchased already printed, but painted by me. The OSA-class missile boats were printed by me (but designed by someone else).

The tank model in front of the ZUBR is for scale...
