EU needs better negotiators and a more realistic view of how the modern economy works. Better with fair trade deals that leaves both partners some space for their own industries than one with lower rates, but where EU will in practice pay the taxes rather than the citizens of that state (USA)

He thought he'd get 50% of UA's minerals, have EU defend them, remove US guarantees, & keep Putin from releasing the dirt on him.
Instead, we may see a united Europe working together with Ukraine to extract the trillions of resources while Putin is stuck in his quagmire.
