lynch's is still on my watchlist, but I have a feeling I'll dig it way more. I can appreciate villeneuve's visuals, but the way he adapts the story just fails to engage me most of the time.

I myself have read the first two books, but yeah I'm of the opinion that a film adaptation needs to function and engage me on its own, regardless of the source material
