On 9/11, I always remember the inspirational words of our current President on that fateful day, as Donald Trump called in to WWOR Radio. He said, "40 Wall Street [the Trump building] actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan… And now it’s the tallest.”

It's always about him.

A couple of former Presidents (OK, one is a former former President) — pictures taken this weekend. They're both old, but one looks more frail to me. I'm glad Joe is out — it seems like it's good for him. The other guy should get out, too.

As a senior citizen on Medicare, I can’t tell you how depressing it is to be getting official emails from Dr. Oz.

At 12 Grattan Street, Bushwick, Brooklyn through July 31st: an installation by Phil Buehler with Radio Free Brooklyn, “Wall of Shame” — a 50-foot-long by 10-foot tall mural featuring the stories, charges, and sentences of the pardoned J6 rioters.

A military parade on the Supreme Leader's birthday? That's not the sign of a healthy democracy. Next Saturday, find a No Kings protest event near you and join it!

“The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that.”

- Today is Easter.
- Today marks three months since Trump pardoned and praised hundreds of violent criminals who beat up cops.
- Today is 4/20.
- Today marks 250 years since the start of the American Revolution.

I'm not entirely sure how to process this day.

Rode my bike to another great protest in Bloomington, Illinois, today. Very friendly crowd, and cars honking and waving in support. Two counter-protestors: 1 old guy saying "Sleepy Joe" to everyone, and a "Jesus" protestor who hadn't actually read anything Jesus said.

If the Attorney General and Vice President can publicly declare someone to be a dangerous criminal without showing any evidence, and the President can disappear them to a foreign concentration camp, then none of us are safe.

I rode my recumbent bike to the Hands Off! protest in Bloomington, Illinois, so that I could have a seat. There was a large, enthusiastic crowd of all ages and lots of good honking from the cars driving by!

It amazes me that Terry Gilliam was able to predict Mar-a-Lago-face way back in 1985.
